Christmas bits 2011

So Christmas 2011 has been and gone and a New Year is within sight....scary how quick the years pass now.
My little people are turning into bigger people.
My baby can only just fit on my lap for snuggles...huge sigh!!!
Only 5ish weeks until my week days between 9am - 3pm will be free of my little people....sigh!
after 22years this is going to feel rather odd to begin with....I know, I will soon adapt as us humans always do...a new era/chapter begins.
So back to Christmas eve/day 2011.... love Christmas eve the children love spending time together...most of my guys pull their mattresses off their beds and move them into the one bedroom.....'cause they want to be
together....awwah! aren't they sweet????

Time together

Santa and reindeer's snacks
The kidlets jumped out of bed around 5ish.... to look at the tree but more importantly the gifts!!!

The unwrapping begins

So our day was SuPeR full of food good friends and christmas love....didn't get a chance to take any pic's of our midday celebrations...Roy worked from 7 til 1....
Alex and Ashlea came over for Pav...mud cake..jelly....plum pudding..icecream and custard around 2:30pm

.......argh! Too MUCH food....
This pic sums up how we all felt by 7ish
I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas Day full of all that you hold dear.

Wishing you a wonderful New Year
    God bless

D-lish GD layout #2

So here another layout I've done for
                         D-lish scraps

I so love this photo (I've also used it in my December Daily)....I felt such emotion this day, 5-12-11.

My 2nd eldest Rhys was heading off on the first leg of his first overseas journey.....Orange to Sydney then first thing on the 6th he was heading off to Tokyo, Japan.  All you want to do is protect but you have to let them go....sigh!

{Close up #1}
I knew I wanted to use this Kaisercraft pp and I love the striped 7 Gypsies pp...I'd had it in my stash for a while....I used a paper doiley and journal tags-scalloped squares to which i applied Tim Holtz vintage photo distress ink, to grunge it up a bit....I also used small white roses to which I used aquamarine glimmermist and a touch of distress ink to the edges

With the beautiful-Butterfly I actually broke it in two...as I thought it looked way too girlie but I really wanted to use it. Also I used some of the fab washi tape- music note. I needed some teal to tie the roses in and just happened to look at the D-Lish package and the tag was just what i needed....grunged the edges....waalaa!!....some machine stitching....and I was done.
I so love this layout...think it might just be my favourite one of the year of mine...anyways
I've so enjoyed working with these D-Lish products.....awesome stuff...
Thanks for stopping bye...I'll be back tomorrow...god willing
Hope you have Christmas all under control????

Thanks            Kim
