Bit Sad....sigh!

Another sigh...
Feeling a little glum today....just filled in my baby's enrolment form for after 22 years of having my little people around me, my days are going to be a bit freeer...
I know I should be looking forward to it but.... still, TODAY I feel a little sad about it :0(

This afternoon I finished off a layout I've been working on for some time.

I actually started it like about 4ish weeks ago.....hmmm! it's a first for me to take sooo long to finish a layout but I really love it...
I used a negative of a scrapware chippie numbers and used it as a template....texture pasted it and walaa!
Used some awesome Darkroom Door Steampunk stamps...tiny twine (CRAFTQUEEN) and also a gorgeous charm from CQ.

My gorgeous McKenzie (he gets Kenz more than McKenzie).

[a close up]

Used BoBunny and 7 gypsies pp...don't you just love that tiny twine!!!
O.k my scrap happy friends...
                                             until next time

Bird is The Word---You and Me

Morning people!
Have so wanted to do a challenge...(just because I want to!!!) but have been busy with have to do stuff plus school holidays and just other STUFF of late.
Finally had a chance a couple of days ago to do the YOU & ME challenge over at BITW

I used one of CRAFTQUEENS gorgeous new prima stamps (brick), tiny twine (YUM!) and one of the sweet butterfly charms also some very beautiful prima flowers. The platted trim under the pic is also from Craftqueen. (Not from craftqueen is the C/W template)

How devine is that TINY TWINE....!!!

I enjoyed doing this layout. I kept it quite simple...bit like us really.....hmmm! (no smart comments, PLEASE!!!)
Kids head back to school tomorrow, so at least the washing pile decreases....thank the lord!
Not really looking forward to the morning rush....but it will be nice to have a little quiet time...
Hope you all enjoy your day whatever you do...

Keep calm and carry on....

Everything I Do.....

So I've been seeing some WAY gorgeous wedding layouts of thought I should do a layout of our special day  which just happened to be *14th February, 1992*

We were married on a Friday, instead of the usual Saturday...i had to be different...
The Place.....Sherbrooke Lodge in the Dandenong ranges....gorgeous little place...a small around 30 guests.
The only bummer for the booked photographer didn't show on time.
I recall thinking something is missing as i stepped out of the limo...somethings not right....yes right Kim...BANG! it hit me .....NO photographer....someone called him...but we couldn't wait the celebrant had other weddings to do...not happy Jan
  So the song
'Everything I Do, I Do It For You' the song that played as I walked down the aisle...oh how i love that song.....and it just sooo went with the name of wedding venue.

The photographer showed about an hour late, so instead of enjoying the reception with our invited guests we had our photo's is such a beautiful place but my professional pic's are mostly night photo's...just not the same. Bright and friends took photo's so we do have some of our special day.
I've used glorious goodness from CRAFTQUEEN who is having some awesome birthday specials this month and you might want to enter her first ever challenge....I've used Organza Bow ribbon, prima flowers, satin seam binding, fine twine, charms and pearl trim cut into single balls, and glimmermist. Frame is from Dusty Attic.

Bye and thanks
