Looking through it I found an article by Julie Winks on salted backgrounds and glimmermist and felt a little inspired to give it a go.....I had tried this technique about a year ago and wasn't too sure if I liked it....anywho i thought I would give it another chance, but maybe add some stamping or something?????
This is the end result......I've used a photo of my #3 son, Mason
[Complexity]
[Mason is 15 atm]
One of my favourite stamps is Checkerboard from Darkroom Door.....so versatile.
Planning a very Scrappy weekend this weekend and looking forward to it!!!
Hope you have some scrappy plans too?
Cheers

Glad you gave it another go as it looks wonderful. Love those colours together and the cogs look awesome and love how you have snuck the number 15 in.
Hugs
Mary
and the stamp......love it
Oh gorgeousness all over. I too tried the technique some time ago and might have to try it again. You have certainly inspired me.
Lovely Kim! I think some colours perform better with the salt than others. Maybe do a little experiment with small bits of card. I think the darker colours the effect would be more noticeable too? Is that just table salt?
Thanks Kylie...I've used rock salt...agree totally with the colours...I've also tried orange with this technique that turned out interesting...cheers
You've done well Kim, I was considering having a go at this but haven't had the motivation. I love the cogs in this too. xx
