It's a New Year of Cases to Crack.....

and the first is a doozey!!

Something a little on the bright side and a lot of fun!!

First I shall share my layout and then give you all the details so you can CRACK the case yourself!

 Here is how I solved Case File No. 104

Colour Scheme- All colours

Evidence-  I have framed my photo using texture paste and an embossing folder.. I have a SCRAPMATTS dove and SCRAPMATTS heart. Silver metal, under my title (from spotlight, jewelery making section.)

Testimony- (Written on a tag attached to the back of my layout.) It makes me smile to see you at this stage of life....on the threshold of becoming a family...x

Scrap Around The World- January 2014, Challenge 9- Soft & Beachy Mood Board Hosted by ME!!!

Hello all and welcome to my first post for 2014 :)

I had the pleasure of creating the Mood Board for the FIRST Scrap Around The World challenge for

 2014

 

I decided since here in Australia it is Summer to go with a Beachy feeling Mood Board.

(thought it might make scrappers in colder climates feel a little warmer as well?!)

 

 

Isn't it PRETTY !!!!?

 

We have some amazing prizes YET AGAIN this month & we hope 

that many of you will be able to participate in our January challenge!

I will tell you more a little later in this post about the prizes!

As you will see we now offer a mood board ONLY, without a sketch, in order

 to assist you in combining our challenge with a sketch challenge if you want :)

Below is what I created......

 

 I've used the Nautical Designs 03, Ornate Frames 17 and Assorted Words 15 from 
Scrapmatts 
 I have also used the negative parts of the chipboard pieces and texture paste to create my background, (if you look to the right of my photo you will see the lighthouse and above the photo you can see the wheel but it actually looks like a sun. The starfish scattered around are also created using the negative!) I was very pleased with how these turned out.
The flowers, stamp and the woven ribbon are from CRAFT QUEEN

 

I have scrapped this photo before but it is one of my fav's from a holiday we took back in 2009 and I have no problems with recycling!!!

Feel free to interpret the mood board in any way you like,

 using one image, several of them, all of them or even just

 one aspect of an image, using ANY COLOURS!
