Scrap Around The World- *Guest Designer- August*

Hello there.....

I have to say I'm SuPeR excited to be Guest Designer for the month of August over at

                       So awesome to be amongst such awesome, creative talent!

 Eila Sandberg is the Challenge host this month and her mood board is simply stunning and along with the sketch designed by Jules McKenna -De Lumen, this is a must do challenge....take a look



I love the soft colours of the mood board, the soft peach and mint...the touch of gold, silver and bling!
 The sketch is so me....I LOVE circles on my layouts, so this was so up my alley!!!

 Now I will show you what I came up with....

 {Heart}
I flipped the sketch so it suited my photo a little better.

 The quote I have used so suits my layout of my DD, Samantha and her BF, Jake (aka Joliver to us!!). They had know each other thru high school and become really good friends. Then he wrote her a letter and things changed forever..... so sweet.

(this could be just ONE aspect, many aspects or EVERY aspect!)  

Let us know what inspired you unless it is obvious!

2.  Use our sketch as your starting point 

(We need to SEE that you started off with our sketch - 

no need to follow it entirely but please it needs to be visible in your layout).

3.  Both the sketch & mood board images

 OR THE COMBO IMAGE OF BOTH 

MUST appear in your challenge entry.

4.  You must mention in your post that you are playing along at 

Scrap Around The World & link back to us.

5.  Link us please to YOUR BLOG POST NOT your entire blog.

6.   Turn off your word-verification if you would like some

 of our Design Team members to comment on your entry.

More Precious than Jewels......CSI#82

Morning,

Been working on this case for a couple of days....
The colours for me are a challenge as I'm not the super girlie type...I would so grunge this up usually but had to stick to the colour scheme.

 {More Precious than Jewels}

this photo was taken back in January 2009.....I love the fact they are holding hands, it touches my heart every time I see this photo.

 I've used 2 Prima masks 

to create the background then I have used water colour paints to add just the right colours I needed for the scheme at CSI.

 Prima wooden embellishments - rulers, Rosette ribbon - yellow mini , Craft Queen lace card 8

So the CSI case #82  looked like this.... CSI has some amazing challeges...so if you want to be pushed a little out of your comfort zone...pop on over and have a look, they also have a fantastic DT, who are very inspiring.

 

It's pretty cold here in Orange at the moment so this was a nice challenge to brighten my week

August @ Scrap the Boys :)

Morning all

 August is upon us and with the new month comes a new challenge from

Scrap The Boys

this month the challenge is....

***AUGUST CHALLENGE***

-Monochromatic layout (one colour), twine and chipboard

(of course you can use other things on your layout but these must be visible)

NB-All entries must be linked to the side bar by 31st August 2013 midnight to be in the running to win! Look forward to seeing what you create.

Here is my take on the challenge plus a few close-ups

This layout has a real mish-mash of products....Prima, Kaisercraft, 7 gypsies, Tattered Angels, Tim Holtz distress inks

Most of these products are from

with the exception of that STUNNING bit of chipboard which is available from
