Creating with Friends

Hello friends....

 Yesterday I spend most of the day/evening with 4 fabulous scrappy pals....Mary, Annette, Jo, and and our newest scrappy pal, Bek.
 We had lunch, scrapped, went shopping at Craft Queen, scrapped, ate pizza and then scrapped and lastly ate again.......argh! what a fabulous day.
   Jo had come over from Mudgee, which is about 2.5 hrs away from us here in Orange. It was so lovely to see Jo again and to scrap together...

I decided to do a layout based on a Scrapfriends Sketch. I will show you the sketch once i show you my layout and a couple of closies...

I've used fabulous Craft Queen goodies, including Prima flowers, EK-abstract flower punch. I have also used Scrapmatts-CB1192, Scrapmatts-Alpha Flags-CB6084 and the little flourish Scrapmatts-CB4054

Awesome Time @ Joy's Papercraft & Looking forward toTeaching at Brisbane Expo 2013

Hello crafty people

Hope this post finds you all well and happy???
 A few months back I was asked by the lovely Joy at Joy's Paperworks of Young, country NSW if I would like to teach at a Day Retreat (20th April) along side some other talented teachers and of course how could I refuse.....Teaching along side talent like Rachael Funnell, Kylie Symons and Wendy Bennett I knew would = one awesome day. Another bonus is the lovely Cheryl O'Brien lives over that way so great opportunity to catch up.
 The SuPeR AwEsOmE  Annette Edmonds was keen to join me on the journey. A HUGE thanks to Annette for driving me across to YOUNG and home again on Sunday. I so love your company!!!!

Lastly I want to share a few pic's from today!

Here in Australia it is ANZAC DAY, a day we remember the fallen soldiers and the men and women that have served our country. My father is a returned sevice man, he served in Vietnam for 18mths.

Today my daughter, Sidney marched (she is also a school captain). The turnout today was amazing, so fabulous to see the generations giving thanks......very touching!

 

Flags very touching blowing in the wind.....also the soldiers posted on each corner....my Dad use to do that when we lived here when i was a child....

My first Scrapfriends Sketch Challenge #12

Well finally I've got around to doing one of the  Scrapfriends Challenges

 I really enjoyed playing along with this sketch!

Hi everyone!

 Hope your all happy and healthy?
Here in NSW, Australia our kidlets are on 2 weeks holidays....which is pretty nice.
 Sleeping in.... and taking it easy is pretty awesome and gives this Mum a chance to scrap without having to worry about school drop offs and pick-ups and all the other things that go with school life.
 Now onto my SCRAPMATTS share....
Something for Mother's Day....a mini canvas

The DT have been asked to alter chippy's.....With the Swirl, I dabbed it with texture paste and then coated it with glimmermist.

Scrapmatts-Swirl CB1067, Birdbaths 01- CB6072, Prima flourish mask, Prima flowers

Tiny Twine, glimmermist, glass beads and ink.

I also created this card. I two of the Ornate Frame, pieces into a small tray into with I had some glimmermist and let it sit for a little while....then took it out and gentle teased the layers apart, then let it dry. Then I painted some Solar gold- Silks Glaze here and there..... Also used the new Vines 01-CB2020 . I just inked these with black Distress ink. Lastly on these two ...the SUPER GORGEOUS NEW SCRAPWORDS 

 More Prima flowers...stitching, canvas (tea-dyed of course)....and a few eyelets!

Prima layout & Craft Queen Classes for Brisbane Expo :) 2013

A few things to share today :)
  Firstly this layout of Prima-ness
I've used a photo from Easter Sunday 2012 of my darling hubby Roy & myself.
The title comes from that Ed Sheeran song Small Bump, (which somedays makes me feel so emotional.....as my hubby and I have experienced such a loss but at 40 weeks...heavy emotional sigh!) Sorry....rattling on.
 I enjoyed creating this layout using mostly Prima goodies, Nicole at Craft Queen stocks a great range of Prima products...yum!!!

 Thanks to Miss Annette for the gorgeous lace trim.....beautiful isn't it....Miss A said she thinks she purchased it from.....?   CRAFT QUEEN (fancy that!) The metal elements are from
 Craft Queen as well...those metal doilies come in 3 sizes!!!

  I liked this layout so much I turned it into my new header....

 I am really lucky to have been asked by the Lovely Nicole from Craft Queen to teach 2 classes, each day, (Wish Right Now & Always Believe).... at the Brisbane Scrapbooking & Papercraft Expo this year....It runs from June 8th -10th, 2013. The beautiful, Cathy Cafun is also teaching at the EXPO.....2 classes daily, over the 3 days of the event.

~*Orange Paper*~April~~~*Challenge*

Helloo....Everybody,

 Over at Orange Paperie & Co the wonderful  Miss Mary has set our monthly challenge and it's a stunner!!!
 The AWESOME Mrs Belinda Lowe agreed to give us some of her precious time, (believe me she is one busy lady). BB has created some gorgeous eye candy....in more ways than one!!!!

 And some other exciting news is that 2 NEW design team members have joined our ranks.
Cheryl O'Brien and Jo Tritton ( two very inspirational scrappers and all round creative people).

Now onto the April Challenge.....here is my creation

Mary's challenge is to take inspiration from this picture

 The only criteria is to add some stamping and punching somewhere.

 

I've used this little bit of Scrapmatts Goodness (CB4056).....popped it through the cuttlebug and my!... oh!... my!!!

 I think it looks gorgeous!

Scrap The Boys~~~~APRIL~~~~ Challenge

Happy Easter Monday beautiful people.....

Well, the 1st of April and the Easter bunny has been and gone....kidlets are happily still munching chocolate and it's a beautiful day.

I actually had a fab Easter with all of my children home...(yep! even my Rhys and his beautiful gf, Stacey! Rhys came home last Wednesday from Hiroshima....was so surprised when he landed on our doorstep.....best Easter gift EVER.

Now onto STB Challenge for the month of April.... it's a great sketch challenge.
here is my take....

I've used some gorgeous products from Craft Queen including a great mask/stencil from Prima. I've also used some fabulous new words from Scrapmatts which I really....really love they also come in white.....delish!!!!
