Sob... last Stuck?!Sketches layout...sob!!!

Evening all...

 The mid-month Stuck?!Sketch was released on the 15th and sadly this is my last on the AWESOME CT. It has truly been a fantastic year.....but alas I feel it's time to make way for new fresh creative blood.
 I thank Sara so very much for having me on her SUPER*WONDERFUL*EVER*INSPIRING TEAM.

 Love the way brothers just hang-out with each other.....this pic was taken the day Rhys left Orange last September on his way to Hiroshima.....
 I've used the Checkered stamp from Darkroom Door....Prima goodies and Satin Seam binding, flowers from Craft Queen.
 This photo I actually printed onto tissue paper then modge-podged it onto my cardstock...
 I changed the sketch a little but kept the title and some of the embellies in the positions as the sketch.


   I have an exciting week coming up.....

Scrapmatts & Love.....sigh!

Evening all....

 Needing to catch up a bit on the blogging....busy prepping for
 Melbourne Scrapbooking and Paper Craft Expo ...(how exciting!!!)

This post I want to show you my latest for
Scrapmatts and as it is the month of  LOVE this is the subject at hand....

{Two Strong Hearts}

I've used the birds -CB1188 and the beautiful heart frame- CB5030. With the heart frame I used metallic paint and the doves I lightly inked with white cloud ink. I have also used some Prima flowers, buttons, sequins amd also a pretty charm from Craft Queen. Lots of stitching......Which you know I love....

 

 

This photo of Samantha and Jake (above), was taken on the 14th Feb at our local botanical gardens..... I loved it instantly and knew it had to be scrapped! 

  Young Love isn't it so sweet... now to a longtime Love....

 

{14th Feb, 1992}

 Roy and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary on the 14th of Feb as well..... but alas he was away working.

 

 

So here is a layout I prepared earlier.....hehehe and it's also my example for Orange Paperie & Co- Feb Challenge.....don't forget to enter. That gorgeous flourish is actually a Scrapmatts Page Border (CB2003).

 

I have cut the page border into 2 and glimmermisted it.

Orange Paperie & Co Fab-Feb Challenge.

   At Orangie Paperie & Co this February I was in charge of the challenge which was rather awesome as on the 14th my husband Roy and I will celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary......
    Anyway I so had to do a sketch type challenge and of course there had to be a heart! .....I know so typical for the month of Feb!

 

The sketch looks like this......

 



 Very basic and the only other criteria is I want to see BUTTONS BEADS/and or SEQUINS.

 

 At OP&C I asked the creative talent that is Shauna Arnold to be our Guest Designer (be sure to click on her name and visit her blog!) I love how creative Shauna is....she's not afraid to improvise and think outside the box, which is very refreshing.

  I've used some old thickers on my heart....micro glass beads..some old bits that came off a bracelet ages ago....prima cog...and a SUPER GORGEOUS SCRAPMATTS PAGE BORDER. (cut in half)
MS-punch-Embroidery from CraftQueen and also tiny twine from CraftQueen.

So, I hope you have a chance to join us at OP&C during the month of February.

Stuck?!Sketches Feb 1st Challenge :)

 The awesome Feb-1st- Stuck?!Sketch is up and running....

The sketch looks like.....

                                                

 My full layout.......

 These pic's were taken on Christmas Day.... Hugo and McKenzie both recieved BayBlades. They are like spinning tops with a rip cord. In the pic's above Hugo is trying so hard to get the hang of it. My older boys, Alex and Rhys (now 23 and 21), were very obsessed by these toys in 2002.
  What comes around goes around...as they say.
With this layout I used Washi Tape from Craftqueen (Nicole has a beautiful range to cover all taste's.)
 The black stamped lines are made from taking some thick cardboard  and just using the edge as your stamp...simple but i thought very effective.
 I also just splashed a little glimmermist around....and added a few buttons...(love buttons)

 Just wanted to share a couple of pic's....



 

   My Samantha turned the big 19, a little over a week ago. We spent the day together which was nice... Then we all had dinner together....(all but Rhys...of course!)  We also included Samantha's BF, who is known as Joliver in this house and also Alex's new love, Sharon. We had a lovely dinner and then of course Homemade Choc-Mud cake.

 Madison entered our local Australia Day Art Comp and took out the 14-15years section.
 Very happy for her.
 Crazy weather here in OZ...my thoughts are with those of you in QLD who have been affected.

                      Flood waters in Gayndah

The Townships of Gayndah and Mundubbera especially you.... My father lives just out of Gayndah and it took a few days to reach him on the phone. Power was out for 6 days and the citrus industry has really copped it (Gayndah and Mundubbera are huge producers).

 Kids have returned to school and Samantha starts Uni in a couple of weeks....so hope to have more scrappy time up my sleeve....
