Stuck?! 15th Sketch.

Hello,
 Scrappy folk.....So the mid-month Stuck?!sketch is up and looks like....



Isn't it pretty?

I decided to flip it and so my take looks like....

 I used a C/W template, glimmermist, distress inks, tea dyed canvas, muslin, a little heart-lock from scrap fx..and of course lots of machine stitching.

Just Because I want, layout :OP

 Happy Sunday peoples!!!!

Firstly.......SUPER HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my main man.....hope you have a great day, hun!!!


Now onto scrappy stuff....I've been creating, using texture paste again and a whole lot of bits from Craftqueen (the treasures you can find......sigh!)

 

 I worked on this layout during the day, yesterday over at Miss Annette's place....always have such a lovely time with Mary and Annette....so relaxing too!!!

The silver rings are from a beautiful bit of jewellery that my darling little man (Hugo) broke a while ago and I thought I should put it in my stash..."'cause you just never know what might work!!!!
  The chippy is from Scrap FX....isn't it beautiful....

 Love this layout....especially the pic of me with my girl.... motherly sigh!!!!

White With 1-Oct Challenge :O)

Well it's been a while since I entered a WW1 challenge and this months White,Yellow & stars Challenge really appealed to me... along with a photo I soooooo had to get scrapped.

 I so love this photo of DD#1 Samantha, during her final week at High School.....she looks so HAPPY (the photo was taken by one of her buddies), but I LOVE IT....!!!!!!
 She has been studying hard and HSC exams start next Monday.....Goodluck my darling....xxxx

I have been playing with texture paste again over the last few days.....loving this effect.

 



 

 I've used some canvas paper and some glass beads as well.

Mary's October Challenge- @ Orange Paperie & Co

Happy Saturday, peoples!!!!

 Over at OP&C this month the wonderful Mary has set our challenge...

Mary recently went on a Figian Holiday and is having trouble settling back into reality.....hence her fab colour challenge, to take the colours in this pic and create.....




These are colours I don't usually use so it was a bit of a challenge, but I did it!!!

Before I go just wanted to share this photo I took of DS#2, the other week when he left Orange (He is currently on a  one year exchange program to Hiroshima University)

 

Have no fear, it shall be scrapped very soon....lol!
He called me about half an hour ago...it was so good to hear his voice....so tugs on my heart strings...sigh!

Scrap The Boys-October Challenge.

So over at
 STB   this October the challenge is......


* This month your challenge is to create a layout that is about your childs favourite book or book series, if your child is too young to have a favourite book, what is your favourite book to read to him...

 Cool challenge hey!
So at this point in time, Master Hugo likes to have the same story read every night!!!!

A book by no other than .....Dr Seuss

One Fish,
              Two Fish,
                            Red Fish,
                                          Blue Fish

 

 Now, although I love the bright colours used on the covers...it's not really me, so I neutralized the colours so to speak. I used some Simple Stories pp....a chevron mask....the alpha stamps I recieved as a birthday gift from the lovely Mary Bennetts . I machine stitched around the edge of the layout. I used glimmermist to create my tree trunks and misted the muslin for the tree tops.

Love how the fish turned out.... and then I just added a little splash of colour here and there...oh yeah! that frame on the right-hand side is a CW template....

Hope you are inspired and keen to document your little ones or even grown ones all time favourite story/stories.
 If time permits I think I'll try to do another layout using this criteria, using my older son's favourite book, when he was 3ish....sigh! (that's nearly 20 years ago, now as he turns 23 on the 10th of this month!!!!.....where does the time go????)

What The??? October already! (Stuck?! Sketch )

Hello beautiful people.....isn't the year flying by now....sigh!

October brings lots of birthdays, in this house...(10th, 14th & 31st)....lots of cake!!!

Now onto the October 1st Stuck?!Sketch....
 I had alot of fun creating this layout and love the little pic of my littlest man....
